The Alain Silberstein Tourbillon Volant reference TMA3-002, a flying tourbillon from one of the most distinctive designers in modern watchmaking. Alain Silberstein came to watches from architecture and design, and from the late 1980s he built a devoted following with pieces inspired by the Bauhaus movement, using simple geometric shapes and the primary colours red, blue and yellow. The Tourbillon Volant, introduced in 2003, brought that playful design language to one of horology's most demanding complications, and it remains a genuine conversation piece for collectors of independent watchmaking.
The skeletonised dial opens up the textured gilded movement, with the flying tourbillon on show at the lower left and the date read by a yellow pointer, while the pink hour and minute hands and the little red, blue and yellow shape motif bring Silberstein's colourful character to life. The 40mm gold-tone steel case is finished in pink, and the sapphire display caseback reveals the hand-wound movement in full. It is worn on Silberstein's signature odd pair of straps in red and blue, with spare straps included, and presents in excellent condition. It is covered by our 12-month in-house warranty.
This timepiece comes with the original box, spare red and blue straps, and strap tools. No papers.
