The Omega Speedmaster 'Ed White' reference 311.30.40.30.01.001, a hard-to-get modern reissue that brings back the original Speedmaster worn during the first American spacewalk by astronaut Ed White on the Gemini 4 mission in 1965. Faithful to the third-generation Speedmaster Ed actually wore, in a 39.7mm stainless steel case with the iconic black step dial, vintage applied OMEGA logo, and a polished black ceramic bezel with a white enamel tachymeter scale.
What sets this reference apart is the movement: this is the reborn Omega Calibre 321, the same legendary column-wheel manual-winding chronograph that was carried to the Moon. Painstakingly reconstructed by Omega from CT scans of the original, finished with an 18k Sedna gold PVD coating and visible through the sapphire caseback. Production is intentionally tiny which makes this one of the most sought-after Speedmasters of the modern era.
It presents in excellent condition and comes as a full set dated 2025, plus two extra NATO straps for added versatility.
