The Rolex Day-Date 36 reference 118139 in 18k white gold with the blue dial, fluted bezel and leather strap. The Day-Date, often called the President, has been made only in precious metals since its debut in 1956, and it was the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full. The 118139 belongs to the six-digit 118 generation, the newer evolution of the white gold Day-Date 36 that followed the five-digit 18239, with a more modern movement and refined case finishing, and Rolex refreshed the strap Day-Date range in 2013 with a palette of rich dial colours, blue among them for white gold.

The deep blue dial carries applied white gold baton markers, with the day displayed in an arched window at 12 and the date under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. The 18k white gold fluted bezel catches the light beautifully against the blue, and the leather strap closes with an 18k white gold folding clasp for a dressier take on the Day-Date. Please note the strap is a smaller size, suiting wrists up to 16 to 16.5cm. Its random serial places production in the 2010s, the later years of the 118 series. It presents in excellent condition and is covered by our 12-month in-house warranty.
